Unit 4: Managing Young Children
If we love our young children, but permit them to treat us with disrespect or with contempt, we teach them the wrong view of God’s character, Who is a loving but just God.
On the other hand, if we are quite the strict disciplinarian, if we show little or no love, if we speak unkindly to the children and raise our voices frequently to them – we have tipped the scales in the opposite direction. This is not the true view of God’s character either.
The way we model love and discipline to the children in our care is to model God’s love and discipline for them. This chapter covers several topics that will help you better manage the children in your care.
