Unit 2: God’s Design for Child Development
Each child is a special creation of God, uniquely gifted. As a child care professional, you will find greater joy in your work at the child care center if you understand the basic character-istics of preschoolers. If you under-stand them, you will see them as fun, interesting, responsive, affectionate and challenging – as a special gift from God.
This chapter explores the variety of stages children pass through as they grow and develop, the characteristics common to each stage, and what God would say to anyone taking care of His Kids at each age and stage.
